Aaah, what a great night. There is no better home than Mummy’s place. My family had a great welcoming organized and it continued at breakfast: fresh German bread, lovely sausages.... yum, yum. The weather is great and we couldn’t wish for anything more - it’s a picturebook summer. Did I mention already that summer in Ireland was not existent this year....?
Early in the morning my nephew and niece came downstairs to say „hello“ before going to Kindergarten. Our little one in the middle, he does not know where to turn first :) they all talk at the same time… its wild, loud and wonderful.
We decide to stay for a few days before we continue our journey to Croatia, passing through Austria. Furthermore we have to wait for the green Insurance card to arrive which AA Ireland wants to send to my German address. It should arrive at Wednesday, so it fits all in the plan.
I am so looking forward to go to all my favourite local shops and made a shopping list so I don’t forget to bring back to Ireland what I miss the most. But first of all: I am missing Spooky. The last 2 nights weren’t that great when you have to walk along the wall to the bathroom in order not to wake the other 2 “cohabitants”. So the first thing my husband and I did is going to the next IKEA, getting a night-light. Of course every IKEA Outlet is the same but in my old local one it’s kinda different and I feel even more at home… hard to explain but I hope you understand what I mean.
The old nightlight was my true companion throughout my breastfeeding phase, and now when I have to comfort the little one when he is waking up dreaming something bad. The room is then enlightened with a nice soft green so everyone can go back to sleep easily as nobody got blinded by bright lights. I saw little Spooky growing old with our kid, patting later in life his little hands on him to shine the light for his nightly toilet-walk. But this is over, Spooky 1 is still on the ferry and I find it just too much hassle to contact their “lost & found” department.
Unfortunately I have to discover that the old shape has been remodelled. Spooky 2 is not flat anymore but oval and its not so easy to turn him on as it was previously. Also there are only 2 classic shades available: blue for boys and red for girls. No green which I prefer – more gender-neutral.... So we got it in blue and have a new passenger for our travels. Spooky is back!
For the rest of the day we are lazy, lying in the Garden, enjoying the sun and life. We do this the following days as well, visiting the local pool and of course relatives who were expecting us eagerly. My husband and I have a great holiday… we have a flood of babysitters and can really put the feet up, no problem.
Later that night I discover that Spooky 2 is changing colours. It ranges from different shades of blue to green. Very nice! I am impressed and am not so sad anymore that Spooky 1 went on his own little trip.

Please forgive the misunderstanfing.
I was referring to pictures of Baden. As I was born there and have not returned I would like to see what it is like. That is what I requested pictures of.
I fully understand your wise concern about your children and it was not my intention to request photos od the children, but of the city.
Sorry for the mix up
God bless

Hi
I noticed you mentioned Baden. I was born there in 1957. My dad was a Canadian solier serving with Nato there. Mom went with him and I was born in a German hospital.
Would you please share some interesting things about Baden with me and some puctures?
I did not see any photos of the children
